On January 28th 2026 we hosted a small roundtable with members of the Christensen fleet to talk about Hyak systems, documentation continuity, and lighting mapping — not about ripping anything out.
Our goal is simple:
👉 Support existing Hyak systems as they stand today
👉 Help preserve vessel-specific documentation and IP
👉 Reduce risk when knowledge lives only onboard or with one individual
👉 Share future pathways (software, lighting, hardware) only when and if a vessel decides it makes sense
Modernization was shown as an option — not a requirement. The short-term focus is continuity, support, and keeping these vessels operational and well-documented.
For those who couldn’t attend, here’s a short video from the session:
If you’d like a walkthrough of what was covered, or want to talk about documentation, Hyak support, or lighting mapping on your vessel, feel free to reach out.
