The Eclipse Yacht – $1.9 Billion
The Eclipse is the second largest yacht in the world at 162.5 meters or 533 feet long and was designed by Terence Disdale for Russian businessman Roman Abramovich. This yacht has onboard features such as two helicopter pads, 24 guest cabins, two swimming pools, a mini-submarine and even a missile-detection system for security. While this yacht is listed as available for charter, don’t get your hopes up, it seems this is just a tax loophole used to avoid European property tax.

2. The Rising Sun – $590 Million
The Rising Sun is a mega-yacht owned by billionaire entertainment mogul David Geffen that was designed by Jon Bannenberg and built in late 2004. The yacht was originally built for and owned by Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, however David Geffen bought half of the ownership in 2006 and the remaining portion in 2010. At 454 feet long, this yacht features a basketball court, multiple guest rooms, a luxurious onboard dining room and much more. President Obama spent time on the yacht in April of 2017.

The plainly named “Motor Yacht A” is a mega-yacht with a very unique aesthetic that was designed by Phillipe Starck and engineered by Martin Francis for Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko. At 387 feet in length, this yacht can accommodate up to 16 guests at a time as well as up to 40 crew members on board. The yacht also has several unique amenities on board, for example a glass bottom pool. The unique design of Motor Yacht A has been described as being “more like a fish than a building”.
